Assessment Center
Assessment centre is a method that allows observing candidates' behaviour while doing their assignments. These assignments are prepared for a given recruitment process according to criteria appointed earlier, thus they are diverse. There are such assignments as:
• basket of assignments
• conversation with a subordinate worker
• problem solving, so called case study
• presentation
• work samples.
A subject of assessment is speed, manner and the order of activities candidates undertake during realization of the assignment. Attention is also paid to their attitude, engagement and the skill of cooperation with others. Obtained information allows, with high probability, to foresee the behaviour of a candidate at a given position.
Analytic (numeric) tests check logical thinking, analysing, inference, quick transforming sets of numbers, tables, and graphs. It allows selection of a candidate capable of using the above abilities effectively during realization of assignments.
On the ground of results candidates obtain in verbal tests, we can estimate whether a candidate can analyse verbal information and draw logical conclusions.
